Hi everyone

I hope you have enjoyed a break over Christmas and New Years and have managed some family time in the good weather.

It is with a heavy heart that I write to you today. Over the last few months, I have had a massive juggle trying to balance my work, life and family time. With the new Four Square Fitzroy having opened at the end of November last year, I am now working many more hours than previously, having taken on Food Safety, Health and Safety, Produce and Payroll. There has been lots to learn!

I have had to make the difficult decision to downsize the tutoring business so that I can fit in time with my family as well as help my husband build up our new store. My eldest child is Year 11 this year, and I am looking forward to supporting him with his NCEA journey. My number 2 child starts high school as well, leaving my youngest having her first year without either of her siblings at school with her. It isa big year for all 3 of my children!

I have owned Taranaki Tutors for 10 years, and over that time have thoroughly enjoyed interacting with my students, helping them with their educational journeys. It has been an absolute pleasure to see so many of my students achieve personal successes and grow in confidence in this time.

I will still be doing some of my own tutoring, at my own home. Some of my tutors from last year have moved onto other employment, and I have been unable to replace them. Unfortunately finding tutors has always been difficult with the hours that it entails, being after school and into the early evening. Some of the other tutors have expressed their desire to continue with tutoring. This would be a private agreement with them, so if you are looking at this avenue, I will be able to pass their details onto you and you can make that contact with them.

I know some of you will be disappointed, but I do hope that you can understand my decision and the timing for this being the right time for myself and my family.
